Integrative Zoology

Integrative Zoology is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal that publishes significant, original scientific research on zoological sciences, plus reviews and analyses of current research. Integrative Zoology focuses on zoology as an integrative discipline, encompassing all aspects of animal life. It presents a cross-zoological picture of the many levels of zoological inquiry, both horizontal and vertical. It aims to represent and re-unite the various disciplines that look at animal life from different perspectives and to provide the basis for a comprehensive understanding of zoological phenomena on all levels of analysis.

The journal will publish research from the following areas:

Basic Disciplines -- evolution and systematics, zoogeography, behavior and sociality, development and reproductive biology, animal ecology, functional morphology, comparative immunology;

    Cross-disciplinary Fields -- paleontology and evolution, phylogenetics and phylogeography, genomic, informatics and evolution, neurobiology and behavior, physiology and behavior, genetics and behavior, physiology and ecology, molecular ecology, information technology and ecology, mathematical ecology, plant-animal interactions;

     Applied Fields -- biological invasion, biodiversity conservation, infectious animal diseases, sustainable management, bioethics.
