Student Prizes

ISZS is devoted to bettering the field of zoology by increasing communication and cooperation between all branches of zoology. ISZS is responsible for publishing Integrative Zoology, the official journal of ISZS. ISZS also organizes the International Congress of Zoology (ICZ), which takes place every four years. The XX ICZ will be held in Paris in August 2008 (http://icz2008.snv.jussieu.fr).

In order to encourage student attendance at this event, ISZS and the XX ICZ are co-sponsoring a student recognition award. Before April of 2008, ISZS will select the top 20 papers that have been submitted to Integrative Zoology by students. The winning students will be given up to 500 to assist them with their travel and accommodation expenses (winning students can not only claim this prize if they attend the XX ICZ) , and they will also have a reduced registion fee to the congress (50). All papers must be submitted by June 15th 2008 in order to be a candidate for this award. When submitting papers, students must provide their supervisor's signature and a copy of their student ID. When students are submitting papers, please make sure to indicate that they are applying for the student recognition award in the cover letter.
